A 2024 Ernst & Young report found an 18:1 benefit to cost for pea breeding at the Crop Development Centre (CDC), Saskatoon, SK, since 1971. With 62 per cent market share for pea acres in western Canada in 2024, that's a lot of return for western Canadian farmers.
